[Taipei, May 24, 2024] – Motex Healthcare Group is set to make a significant impact at the 2024 Asia Nonwovens Exhibition (ANEX) held from May 22 to 24 at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei. This prestigious event, hosted by the Asia Nonwoven Fabrics Association (ANFA) and the Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association (TNFIA), gathers over 300 exhibitors from 18 countries. Motex Healthcare's participation highlights their dedication to environmental sustainability through mask recycling initiatives.

Chairman Cheng Yung-Chu of Motex Healthcare Group announced the company's proactive launch of recyclable eco-friendly masks earlier this year. The initiative focuses on converting used masks into reusable plastic particles, exemplifying a robust commitment to the circular economy. Additionally, Motex Healthcare’s Manager, Hsiao Chih-Long, represented the group at the A-Next Hub: Innovative Technology Presentation, delivering a keynote speech on eco-friendly energy-saving and sustainable development, underlining the company’s dedication to environmental issues and practical solutions.

The exhibition underscores the industry's focus on sustainability and the achievements in the circular economy. The surge in disposable mask waste over the past three to four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic has propelled waste reduction to the forefront of industry concerns. Leading global efforts, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Textile Research Institute established standards and labels for recyclable nonwoven masks last year, with Motex Healthcare actively supporting and complying with these initiatives.

The three-day ANEX event provides a crucial platform for networking and knowledge exchange within the Asia nonwovens industry. It also amplifies the visibility of environmental issues, with Motex Healthcare Group continuing its efforts towards sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
